V.T.A. - Virtual travel agency
A downloadable game for Windows
Post-Apocalyptic World
The world has been struck by catastrophic events that have led to the collapse of traditional forms of vacation and relaxation. In this altered reality, people are forced to live in strictly isolated cities, as the surrounding landscape has become contaminated and destroyed. With no place left to travel, a unique solution was created to restore the lost joy of exploration.
At the heart of this solution lies artificial intelligence, which already governs many aspects of people's lives. Using makeshift computers assembled from various scavenged components, individuals connect to a system known as V.T.A. - Virtual Travel Agency. This innovative software, powered by AI, generates tailor-made vacations for its users, offering a new way to experience travel in a world where the real thing is no longer possible.
V.T.A. serves as a digital escape hatch — a fully simulated environment that brings exploration back to life, even if only through imagination and code.
This project represents a thought-provoking exploration of human resilience, technology's role in our lives, and the power of imagination in overcoming limitations.

Key Features
- Interactive text-based gameplay powered by AI, generating unique destinations and personalized stories.
- Animated pixel art scenes created from custom assets.
- Custom generator ensures unique combinations of assets, enhancing replayability.
- Focus on an authentic pixel art aesthetic with original artwork.
How the Game Works
The gameplay revolves around a cyclical process where players interact with the AI-driven V.T.A. system. Here is how it works:
- The player starts by selecting a prompt representing their desired destination.
- The AI assigns tags to the prompt and selects suitable assets from a pre-defined list.
- The generator combines these assets into an animated scene that represents the player's destination.
- The AI uses this visual scene to create a narrative, continuing the player’s journey.
- The player makes choices that influence the next destination, creating a dynamic and engaging story loop.
Assets and Design
- The game features a unique asset system to ensure each generated scene feels fresh and distinctive.
- All assets are animated and crafted in a cohesive pixel art style.
- Due to the specific pixel art requirements, a custom asset generator has been developed instead of relying on AI generation.
- Advantages include original hand-drawn designs that add a personal touch to the game.
Technical Disclaimer
This project uses OpenAI’s GPT model to process player input and generate narrative content. While the visuals are fully human-drawn, the AI determines how to assemble different scene parts based on pre-defined assets.
Please note:
- The game requires an internet connection to function properly.
- Functionality is dependent on external AI services and may break or become unavailable based on OpenAI’s infrastructure or changes.
- This is an experimental and creative project — not guaranteed to be stable or bug-free.
